Following the transformational changes in the international and political landscape, humanitarians are struggling to cope with new threats and vulnerabilities linked to conflict, protracted emergencies and climate change. There is a growing consensus that the humanitarian sector is not equipped to respond to the challenges of today and the ones that lie ahead. What are the changes that are required to ensure a functioning and reactive humanitarian system that is capable of responding to the overwhelming needs in an ever more complex geo-political landscape?
