We are pleased to invite you to submit abstracts for presentations at the upcoming XX. Humanitarian Congress Berlin - Theory and Practice of Humanitarian Action, taking place on 4 and 5 October 2018, in Berlin.
This year’s guiding theme is: No More Excuses – Advocating for Human Dignity in Times of Crisis. We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics (including but not limited to):
Practice of Humanitarian Medicine
Neglected Tropical Diseases
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
Mental Health, Psycho-social & psychiatric care
Telemedicine and innovative health technologies
Access to Medicines & Neglected Populations (both within and outside of Europe)
Integrative health care management
Big Data and new technologies
Refugee and migrant health
Who may submit?
The call is open to any interested individual. We particularly encourage submissions from academics, postgraduate and PhD students, NGO staff, staff working for UN agencies and others working in the field of humanitarian medicine and global health.
Please note that we only accept abstracts that present results from the author’s own research work or project evaluations. Literature reviews will not be considered.

Formatting & Submitting:
Abstracts should be limited to a maximum of 300 words. Do not include illustrations, diagrams or other graphics. Abstracts can be uploaded here and should be structured in the following order: (1) Title of abstract, (2) Background, (3) Method, (4) Results and (5) Conclusion.
Abstracts should be submitted by 25 July 2018.
There is no cost for abstract submission. We offer free admission to the event for those presenting. We are unfortunately unable to cover travel or accommodation expenses.
