Senior Communications and Advocacy Consultant
Timo Lüge worked as a journalist for almost ten years before switching to the humanitarian sector. For the past 11 years, he has worked for NGOs, the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and various UN agencies, both at headquarters and in the field. As an independent communications and advocacy consultant, Timo is helping organizations improve how they communicate with communities affected by disasters, with the media and donors, using both traditional and new communications channels. Timo has worked in various countries, including Haiti, the Philippines, Greece, and Liberia. He writes about communicating in emergencies under Social Media for Good (www.sm4good.com) and can be reached on Twitter at @timolue. Timo lives in Berlin.
